Study John 18

It is in this chapter that the events that lead to Jesus’ execution are set into motion. Jesus will be betrayed, arrested, accused and intensely interrogated. As a reader it is our job to see if Jesus was treated fairly. Also, we look for the signs in the story that indicate that Jesus was still in control of the events. One question that might help us understand the events leading up to Jesus’ death is, “Why would Jesus endure this unjust treatment?”
